The surviving three reels of this five reel feature starring Lon Chaney and Dorothy Phillips. Deterioration and decomposition mar the some of the footage. A summary is included to complete the story as originally presented in 1917.

Aspiring actress Nell Baxter leaves her home sure she will triumph as a great star! She has her chance at stardom when she champions hopeful writer Paul Neihoff's new play to her lascivious producer but everything is put peril as her jealous rival plots to ruin her.
