A peasant girl from a small Russian village loses everything when the Cossacks take away her family. With no one else to turn to she gets aid from the revolutionaries to flee the Czar's unjust law. However in freedom she realizes her truest desire is revenge on the cruel Prefect of Police that doomed her family.
