John and Gladys Herrington are out drinking, dancing and flirting like irresponsible youngsters, not paying much attention to their son Jack who is behaving much the same. When Cathleen Gillis returns from Boarding School she catches the interest of her old childhood pal Jack, but her hard-working father Martin doesn’t want her to get mixed up with the Herrington’s or their son.
